Deoriatal or Deveria Tal

This natural lake is at height of approx. 2500 Mtr from the sea level. Surrounded by lush green forest from all the sides. The lake can be reached by covering a trek route of 2.5 km from the base which is Village Saari.There are two myths about this lake one is that it is built by Bhim one of the Pandav because he was thirsty. Secondly as per name Deveria Tal – Deveria refers to Dev- Gods and Tal is &  Lake. The lake for Gods and Goddess to bath. This lake is too beautiful and quite big at such a height in the hills. The 2.5 km trek is quite steep .Once you reach here you will love this place, the lake is surrounded by green meadows one side and green forest on the other side. The reflection of the Forest on the still water and the reflection of the Chuakhamba peak in the lake is amazing & to watch provided the weather must be sunny and clean , you can take a round of the lake and find the best location to click the best. Saari Village is just 15 min drive from Chopta House from where the trek starts.
